Job Description

As a Ditch Tender, you will play a vital role in the construction and maintenance of ditches and waterways. This hands-on position requires expertise in operating heavy machinery and a solid understanding of safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other teams within the organization, such as the Road Maintenance Team.
• Assist in managing water flow and drainage issues.
• Ensure proper signage and safety measures around work sites.
• Participate in ongoing training and development of skills.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members as required.
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure tools are properly stored.

Advantageous

• Previous experience with environmental management.: Knowledge in managing environmental aspects of construction.
• Familiarity with local legislation concerning drainage and waste.: Understanding regulations governing waterway management.
