Job Description

As a Trade Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our operations by ensuring adherence to all trade regulations and laws. You will lead import and export activities, manage essential documentation, and develop risk mitigation strategies to enhance trade efficiency. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to navigate complex compliance landscapes, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within our dedicated compliance team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement trade compliance training sessions for relevant staff.
  • Review and approve trade compliance documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Engage in ongoing risk analysis and mitigation strategies for trade compliance.
  • Collaborate with various departments to promote a compliance-oriented culture.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for trade compliance inquiries.
  • Prepare and present trade compliance reports to the Director and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between departments regarding compliance.
  • Update and maintain compliance documentation systems.
  • Engage in networking with industry professionals to stay informed.
  • Monitor shipments for compliance with domestic and international regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business, or a related field
  • Additional certifications in trade compliance preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in trade compliance with a focus on import/export activities
