Chemical Engineer

Job Description

As a Chemical Engineer at Tech Innovations Inc., you will oversee blending operations in our manufacturing facility. Your role is critical in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards while managing production schedules effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the blending process, including batch preparation, blending, and packaging
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards
• Train and supervise Blending Operators
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, waste, and production output
• Assist with production planning and scheduling as needed
• Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure product quality and consistency
• Communicate with Maintenance regarding equipment maintenance and repairs
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in blending operations or a manufacturing environment

• Blending equipment knowledge

Certifications

• Certified Food Scientist (CFS)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems: Practical knowledge of ERP systems to improve inventory and production management.
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP principles: Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.
• Leadership experience: Proven track record of leading a team in a manufacturing environment.
