Job Description

As an Occupational Health and Safety Technician, you will be pivotal in promoting a safe work environment. This role involves conducting inspections, training staff on safety practices, and ensuring compliance with legislation. Your efforts will directly contribute to minimising workplace risks and enhancing employee wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough workplace inspections to identify safety hazards.
  • Develop comprehensive safety policies and provide training on them.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the management to facilitate a safe working environment.
  • Assist in planning and conducting safety workshops and seminars.
  • Initiate safety improvement initiatives based on audit findings.
  • Maintain documentation regarding safety procedures and compliance.
  • Foster communication and promotion of safety awareness among staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health and Safety is a plus
Experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
