Job Description

As a Lens Blocker, you will operate sophisticated machinery and use advanced software to block lenses for optical prescriptions. Your attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will be crucial in ensuring that we meet our quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced lens blocking equipment effectively.
• Utilize lens blocking software for precise data entry.
• Conduct detailed inspections of lenses for defects or discrepancies.
• Calibrate machinery settings based on production requirements.
• Work closely with production supervisors to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Maintain production records and assist with inventory management.
• Assist colleagues in troubleshooting equipment problems.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities for production processes.
• Train new staff in lens blocking procedures and safety practices.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in an optical laboratory is preferred

Experience

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in lens blocking or optical manufacturing

• Calipers and Measuring Tools

Languages

• English: Fluent
