Job Description

Are you passionate about working with animals and the great outdoors? As a Cow Rider, you’ll ride and control cows during herding activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. You’ll work in various locations, collaborating with a dedicated team to efficiently manage livestock transport. Your role will also involve inspecting equipment and maintaining compliance with safety regulations, so if you’re ready for an active, hands-on role that makes a difference in the agricultural scene, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities

  • Skillfully ride and manage cattle in various environments.
  • Inspect all equipment daily for wear and tear.
  • Transport livestock safely and efficiently to designated locations.
  • Engage in communication with team members regarding operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Document any incidents or observations regarding livestock health.
  • Participate in ongoing training to improve riding and handling skills.
  • Assist in veterinary checks as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Contribute ideas for improving team procedures and livestock care.

Requirements

Education
  • Certification in horsemanship or horse riding
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred
Experience
  • Prior experience in cattle herding or similar role is preferred
