Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Medical and Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests on blood and other body fluids, ensuring accurate results and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Implementing and overseeing laboratory standard operating procedures.
• Training and mentoring junior staff members on laboratory techniques and safety practices.
• Engaging in quality assurance programs to improve laboratory services.
• Liaising with healthcare professionals regarding test results and safety protocols.
• Participating in laboratory audits and inspections.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
• Higher qualifications in Pathology preferred

Experience

• 2-3 years of clinical laboratory experience, preferably in blood banking

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Office Suite
• Quality Control Procedures

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with blood donor recruitment and collection: Skills in engaging and managing blood donor programs.
• Experience with transfusion medicine and hematology: Knowledgeable in hematology analysis and blood transfusion protocols.
