Job Description

We are looking for a Surgical Assistant-Certified (SA-C) to provide vital support during surgical procedures. As a critical member of the surgical team, you will collaborate closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure each operation runs smoothly, prioritizing patient safety and care.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and laying out surgical instruments for operations.
• Monitoring the surgical environment for any potential hazards.
• Responding promptly to the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
• Assisting in the collection and analysis of equipment usage data.
• Participating in workshops and training to enhance surgical techniques and practices.
• Managing inventory of surgical supplies and reporting shortages.
• Encouraging a culture of safety and compliance among all team members.
• Participating in departmental meetings to discuss operational efficiencies and improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Certification as a Surgical Assistant-Certified (SA-C) is mandatory
• Advanced certification in surgical procedures is advantageous

Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in an operating room environment.
