Job Description

As a Forging Machine Setter, Operator, or Tender, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining drop forging equipment to produce precise forgings. Your role is critical in ensuring product quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate forging machines and hammers.
• Interpreting detailed technical drawings and blueprints to manufacture products.
• Adjust machine settings to improve efficiency and quality.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machines.
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste.
• Work with quality assurance teams to facilitate product inspections.
• Document production activities and maintain logs.
• Comply with safety standards to protect yourself and coworkers.
• Assist in training programs for new staff in your area.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet specifications.

Requirements

Education

• Trade qualification or diploma in Engineering or Manufacturing

Experience

• 1-3 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably with forging experience

Languages

• English: Fluent
