Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic team in Sunshine Coast. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality surgical and medical care to a diverse range of animals. The ideal candidate will have exceptional diagnostic skills and a strong commitment to animal welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Perform health check-ups and preventative healthcare services.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions in animals.
  • Conduct surgical procedures, including spays and neuters.
  • Assist in developing public health initiatives regarding animal welfare.
  • Provide compassionate end-of-life care when required.
  • Collaborate with external specialists for advanced cases.
  • Conduct follow-up consultations to assess patient recovery.
  • Implement best practices in hygiene and sanitation in the clinic.
  • Engage in client education regarding pet behavior and wellness.
  • Participate in veterinary health research through collaboration.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
Experience
  • 5+ years in veterinary surgery and clinical practice
