Responsibilities

  • Receive and assess emergency calls promptly and efficiently.
  • Direct the appropriate resources to each emergency situation.
  • Keep detailed records and logs of all dispatch activities.
  • Liaise with emergency services and other agencies as required.
  • Conduct periodic checks on communication equipment functionality.
  • Engage in regular training sessions to stay updated on protocols.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certificate III in Public Safety Communications or a relevant qualification is preferred
Experience
  • No specific experience required, however prior exposure to emergency services or customer support is beneficial.
