Job Description

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our lead teachers and ensuring a safe, engaging, and productive learning environment for children from preschool through secondary school. Your responsibilities will include assisting with lesson planning, classroom management, and communicating with parents about student progress.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers to design and implement effective lesson plans.
  • Facilitate indoor and outdoor activities to promote learning and development.
  • Assist in monitoring students’ participation and engagement.
  • Aid with personal care tasks like feeding and changing as required.
  • Ensure that the classroom is safe and conducive to learning.
  • Foster open communication with parents regarding students' daily activities.
  • Organize educational materials and resources for lessons.
  • Encourage a supportive and inclusive environment among students.
  • Attend professional development workshops to improve teaching skills.
  • Contribute to creating a positive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Working with Children Check
Experience
  • No experience required, but prior experience in a childcare or educational setting is advantageous.
