Job Description

As a Loan Counselor at ABC Financial Services, you will be responsible for advising clients on various loan options while guiding them through the application process. You will support clients throughout their loan repayment journey, ensuring timely repayments and maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating clients' financial situations to determine their eligibility for loans.
• Counseling clients on different loan options and providing recommendations.
• Assisting clients in completing loan applications with accurate documentation.
• Negotiating loan terms and conditions with clients and financial institutions.
• Monitoring loan payments and following up with clients in default.
• Maintaining up-to-date loan records and client information.
• Staying abreast of industry trends and lending regulations.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Providing exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction.
• Collaborating with marketing to promote loan products.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics
• Certification in consumer credit counseling is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in lending or a related field

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in loan-related software
• Familiarity with compliance regulations
