Finish Carpenter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of carpentry projects from conception to completion.
• Implement best practices in carpentry to improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Mentor junior carpenters and apprentices on best practices.
• Document project progress and provide regular updates to management.
• Ensure all carpentry work aligns with project timelines and goals.
• Conduct final inspections of completed projects for quality assurance.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Carpentry or higher qualification
• Previous project management experience is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience particularly in finish carpentry.

Certifications

• White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• Current Driver's License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Heritage restoration experience: Experience in restoring heritage buildings and maintaining historical accuracy.
• Knowledge of sustainable materials: Understanding of and experience with environmentally friendly building materials.
