Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Darwin. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and an ability to analyse financial data effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the preparation of external financial statements.
• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Implement best practices in accounting and financial processes.
• Participate in strategic financial planning and analysis.
• Provide insights on financial performance to senior management.
• Assist in training junior accounting staff.
• Develop performance metrics to drive financial decision-making.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy within financial systems.
• Manage relationships with external financial stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CA) are a plus

Experience

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience
