Job Description

As a Composer, you will craft original musical scores that elevate storytelling across various media platforms. Collaborating closely with directors and producers, you will bring creative visions to life through your expertise in music composition. Your role will involve not just creating music but also managing projects from concept to final production.

Responsibilities

  • Compose original music targeting specific styles and genres for varied projects.
  • Collaborate with musicians and sound engineers to create polished, professional recordings.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss project timelines and updates.
  • Continuously develop a strong portfolio of work showcasing your musical versatility.
  • Engage with clients, listening to their needs and feedback to adapt your compositions accordingly.
  • Utilize software tools like DAWs, MIDI controllers, and music notation software effectively.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlines.
  • Educate and mentor junior composers and interns in musical composition techniques.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field
  • Advanced degree in Music Composition is a plus
Experience
  • 3-6 years of experience in music composition or production
Technical Skills
  • Experience with music licensing and publishing
  • Proficiency in music notation software (e.g., Sibelius, Finale)
Soft Skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
Certifications
  • Pro Tools Certification
  • Certified Music Producer
Languages
  • English: Fluent
