Software Tester

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a meticulous Software Tester to join our quality assurance team in Canberra. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our software products meet the highest standards of quality through rigorous testing. You will collaborate with developers to identify issues and drive improvements in functionality, performance, and usability.

Responsibilities

• Test software applications across various platforms and environments.
• Document and communicate test results to stakeholders.
• Identify process enhancements to improve overall product quality.
• Participate in code reviews from a testing perspective.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover critical issues.
• Guide junior testers in their testing methodologies.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends in software testing.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of software testing experience, preferably in an Agile environment

Certifications

• Certified Software Tester (CSTE)
• Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with mobile application testing: Hands-on experience in testing mobile applications on iOS and Android.
• Knowledge of API testing: Familiarity with tools such as Postman or SoapUI for API testing.
