Job Description

As a Sewing Machine Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing sewing machines in our textile manufacturing facilities. Your expertise in sewing machine mechanics will ensure optimal machine performance and contribute to our overall production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections on sewing machines for wear and tear.
• Implement preventive maintenance to enhance machine reliability.
• Liaise with suppliers for spare parts procurement.
• Assist in training staff on proper machine operation.
• Analyse machine performance data to identify trends.
• Document maintenance and repairs in our database.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity.
• Assist in implementing maintenance schedules and protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Trade Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience

• Prior experience in training and mentoring junior maintenance staff is preferred.
