Job Description

As a Power Plant Operator at Energy Solutions Australia, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our energy facilities. This role involves maintaining equipment, coordinating with team members, and implementing safety protocols to optimise plant performance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics of power plant systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.
• Provide support in training new staff on best practices.
• Work with senior management on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Compile performance reports and present to management.

Requirements

Education

• Associate's degree in relevant technical field
• Bachelor's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in energy sector operations

Technical Skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting
• Safety protocols knowledge

Soft Skills

• Adaptability

Certifications

• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (optional)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles: Familiarity with methodologies for efficiency improvement.
