Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Urban Planner to join our dynamic team in Canberra. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and implementing urban plans that focus on sustainable development and community engagement. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of long-term urban strategies to enhance the livability of Canberra.
  • Conduct spatial analysis and mapping of urban areas to inform planning decisions.
  • Engage with community members to promote awareness of urban planning issues.
  • Draft policy documents and guidelines to support planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with local government agencies to align urban development with regional planning objectives.
  • Utilise GIS tools and software to analyze and present planning data.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of urban planning projects post-implementation.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Planning, Geography, or related field
  • Master's degree in Urban Planning preferred

  • 5-7 years of experience in urban planning or a related discipline
