Commutator Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Commutator Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, and repairing commutators used in various electrical components. This role requires precision and attention to detail to ensure that all products meet our high standards for quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assemble commutators according to strict quality specifications.
• Conduct functionality tests on completed assemblies.
• Identify and rectify issues during assembly.
• Work closely with engineers to develop new assembly techniques.
• Adhere to safety and quality control measures at all times.
• Stay updated with new technologies related to electrical components.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss improvements.
• Assist in the maintenance of production machinery.
• Provide feedback on assembly processes for efficiency.
• Prepare reports on production metrics and performance.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Engineering - Electrical / Electronics Trade
• Valid electrical license

Experience

• 3-4 years of hands-on experience in a related field

Technical Skills

• Experience with commutator winding
• Experience using electrical testing equipment
• Experience working with high voltage electrical components

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Communication skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of AS/NZS standards: Familiarity with Australian/New Zealand electrical standards.
• Experience with quality assurance processes: Understanding of how to maintain quality in component assembly.
