Industrial Machinery Mechanic

Job Description

The Knitting Machine Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing knitting machines used in textile production facilities. This role involves working closely with production teams to ensure machinery is in optimum condition and running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair various types of knitting machines.
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce potential downtime.
• Read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams for troubleshooting.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and order as necessary.
• Document all repairs and maintenance activities in a clear and organised manner.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve machine function and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.
• Assist in training sessions for new joiners on machine operation.
• Stay updated on machinery advancements and innovations.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Trade qualification as a Mechanic or Fitter

Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role as a Knitting Machine Mechanic.
