Join our dedicated demolition team as a Cement Breaker. You will be responsible for safely operating specialized machinery to break and demolish cement structures across various construction sites in Sydney. Your expertise will be integral to ensuring project timelines are met while adhering to strict safety guidelines. We are seeking individuals with a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery for breaking concrete.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines on-site.
• Assist in project planning and coordination.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment.
• Actively participate in safety meetings and briefings.
• Document and report on demolition progress.
• Liaise with site supervisors regarding work status.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Adapt to changing work conditions and challenges.
• Provide assistance to other team members as required.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant certifications or licenses are advantageous.

Experience

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in demolition work.

Technical Skills

• Heavy machinery operation
• Safety compliance

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Effective communication

Certifications

• Construction industry induction training (White Card)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• First Aid certification: Certification in First Aid is a plus for workplace safety.
• Experience in a supervisory role: Prior experience in leading a team in demolition projects is advantageous.
