As the Deputy District Customs Director, you will play a critical role in overseeing customs operations within your assigned district. Working closely with the District Customs Director, your focus will be on ensuring compliance with customs regulations and facilitating smooth processes. You will have the opportunity to lead a talented team, implement improvements, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance our customs operations.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively work with the District Customs Director to oversee customs operations.
• Maintain compliance with relevant customs laws and operational guidelines.
• Guide and mentor customs staff, ensuring effective training and implementation of processes.
• Assess current customs practices and suggest areas of improvement.
• Work alongside various government entities to ensure smooth customs processes.
• Gather and analyze customs data to inform operational decisions.
• Devise strategies for optimizing customs processes and safeguarding border security.
• Engage in the formulation of district policies pertaining to customs.
• Supervise resources and infrastructure related to customs operations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Additional customs certifications are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in customs management and oversight roles
