Job Description

As an Animal Control Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring community safety by managing animal-related issues, responding to emergencies, and educating the public about responsible pet ownership. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve capturing stray animals, investigating complaints related to animal welfare, and collaborating with local authorities to uphold animal control regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce local animal control laws and regulations.
  • Conduct field investigations and respond to public complaints.
  • Implement programs to reduce stray animal populations.
  • Work with local shelters and rescue groups for animal welfare.
  • Assist in community events focused on animal adoption.
  • Prepare and present educational materials for public awareness.
  • Engage with local businesses for partnership opportunities.
  • Assist in shelter operations as needed during peak times.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement on animal-related investigations.
  • Prepare statistical reports on animal control efforts.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Animal Studies or related field
  • Further qualifications in public safety are a plus
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in animal control or community safety roles

Languages
