Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Corrections Sergeant to supervise and lead a team of correctional officers. This role involves ensuring compliance with established protocols, overseeing daily operations, and maintaining safety within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Guide a dedicated team of correctional officers, supervising daily operations.
• Ensure that established protocols are strictly followed.
• Oversee and manage the activities within the correctional environment.
• Coordinate officer staffing and scheduling effectively.
• Foster a safe and secure environment for both inmates and staff.
• Enhance communication between staff, inmates, and relevant agencies.
• Perform safety checks and audits of facility infrastructure.
• Provide effective training and skill development for officers.
• Keep accurate records of all operational activities.
• Execute other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred

Experience

• Experience working in a correctional facility or similar environment is necessary.
