Job Description

As a School Resource Officer (SRO), you will be instrumental in maintaining a safe and secure environment within the school. Your role includes patrolling the school grounds, building rapport with students, staff, and parents, and responding effectively to any incidents or emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with students and staff to create a positive and safe school environment.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the school grounds and facilities.
  • Respond to incidents or emergencies, conducting first aid when required.
  • Work closely with school administration to develop effective safety measures.
  • Document and report incidents in compliance with school policies.
  • Provide guidance on conflict resolution and safety-related issues.
  • Organize safety drills and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with community resources to enhance school security.
  • Utilize surveillance systems to monitor activities within the school.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations surrounding school safety.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in law enforcement or security is preferred
Experience
  • Previous experience in law enforcement or security roles is preferred.
