Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Trestle Builder to join our construction team located in Melbourne. In this role, you'll be responsible for constructing and assembling trestle structures for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in carpentry and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that each structure meets top standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ascertain project requirements.
• Measure and prepare timber materials according to specifications.
• Assemble trestles ensuring alignment and structural integrity.
• Test completed structures for functionality and compliance.
• Coordinate with other trades and team members for project efficiency.
• Implement and maintain high safety standards on the job site.
• Keep accurate records of materials used and time spent on tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of tools.
• Support the training of apprentices on construction techniques.
• Collaborate with quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards.

Requirements

Education

• Trade qualification in Carpentry

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in carpentry or a relevant field.

Languages
