Job Description

We are looking for an experienced First-Line Supervisor to oversee packing house operations. You will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring that quality and safety standards are met, and coordinating the scheduling of production tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture or food production and demonstrate excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee packing house staff activities, ensuring compliance with quality assurance protocols.
  • Schedule and manage operations to optimize workflow and productivity.
  • Conduct maintenance checks on packing equipment and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Liaise with logistics to ensure seamless transportation of packed products.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Document production data and identify areas for efficiency boosts.
  • Encourage staff development through training and mentorship.
  • Monitor packaging processes and address any operational challenges.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback to promote growth.
  • Implement best practices for waste reduction and sustainability.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field
Experience
  • 3+ years in a supervisory role within food production
