We are looking for a skilled Mental Health and Substance Abuse Social Worker to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide essential support, coordination, and advocacy for individuals grappling with behavioral health issues. You will closely collaborate with clients, healthcare providers, and community resources to ensure effective care management and enhance the overall well-being of those we serve.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth assessments to identify each client's unique needs and overlay support systems.
• Facilitate access to mental health services and programs.
• Engage with clients using empathetic and respectful communication.
• Monitor and evaluate client progress in treatment and adjust care plans as needed.
• Foster strong relationships with clients to encourage ongoing engagement in treatment.
• Advocate for clients in community settings and assist in navigating complex services.
• Organise and lead workshops or support groups to empower clients and families.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of services through feedback and evaluation.
• Collaborate with local agencies to enhance programme delivery.
• Research and implement best practices for behavioural health support.

• Specialised training in substance abuse treatment: Training in interventions specifically for substance abuse issues.
• Certification in mental health first aid: Recognised certification in emergency mental health support.
