Job Description

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the guidance of licensed physical therapists to provide treatment to patients dealing with physical disabilities, injuries, or illnesses. Your role is critical in helping patients recover and regain their mobility, focusing on delivering quality care and support.

Responsibilities

  • Help in the preparation and implementation of patient treatment plans.
  • Engage in hands-on patient care with a focus on therapeutic modalities.
  • Assist in recording and updating patient treatment outcomes.
  • Conduct mobility training sessions with patients to promote independence.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises while ensuring patient safety and correct technique.
  • Provide support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
  • Coordinate with the administrative team regarding patient schedules and therapy resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest rehabilitation techniques and patient care strategies.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

Education
  • Two-year college degree from an accredited program.
  • Specialization in geriatric or pediatric care is an advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care experience.
