Job Description

The Director of In-Service Education will spearhead the development and execution of professional development programs for educators, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the educational sector. This role aims to enhance teaching effectiveness and ultimately improve student outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver targeted professional development workshops focusing on current educational practices.
  • Assess and report on the impact of training programs on educator development and student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with academic leadership to align training programs with institutional goals.
  • Facilitate peer learning opportunities among educators to share best practices.
  • Monitor and analyse data regarding program participation and outcomes for continuous improvement.
  • Lead the creation of digital resources for training delivery, including webinars and online modules.
  • Encourage innovative approaches to teaching through ongoing professional development.
  • Identify and incorporate new technologies into training programs to enhance learning experiences.
  • Act as a mentor for new educators, providing guidance on professional development pathways.
  • Prepare regular reports for the Vice President of Academic Affairs on program effectiveness and outcomes.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant field
  • Master's Degree in Educational Administration is preferred
Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience managing educational programs

  • Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Microsoft Office Suite

Certifications
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
  • Advanced Certificate in Project Management
Languages
  • English: Fluent
