Job Description

As an Animal Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the healthcare team with the treatment and care of animals. Your responsibilities will include assisting in surgeries, administering medications, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for our patients. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily care routines for a variety of animals.
  • Implement preventive health measures and vaccinations.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and order as necessary.
  • Provide behavioural assessments and training support to staff.
  • Coordinate with veterinary specialists when required.
  • Engage with local animal rescue organizations for collaborative efforts.
  • Conduct follow-up visits to ensure ongoing animal health.
  • Maintain a welcoming environment for clients and their pets.
  • Develop educational materials about animal care.
  • Foster strong relationships with pet owners to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Veterinary Technology or Animal Science
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science is highly desirable
Experience
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in a veterinary environment
