Responsibilities
Lead fishing expeditions and manage crew members.
Implement effective strategies to maximise catch rates.
Ensure all fishing pots are properly maintained and effective.
Adjust operations based on real-time weather forecasts.
Execute the selection, sorting, and preservation of fish.
Uphold strict adherence to sustainable fishing standards.
Maintain safety equipment and ensure proper usage.
Compile and report catch data to management.
Engage in teamwork for enhanced productivity.
Perform all necessary boat maintenance tasks.
Requirements
Education
Certificate III in Maritime Operations (Master up to 24 meters Near Coastal)
Additional certifications in boat handling are preferred
Experience
At least 2 years in the fishing industry with an emphasis on using pots or traps
