Job Description

As an Animal Caretaker focusing on canaries, you will be responsible for their daily care, from feeding and monitoring health to cleaning their living environments. Your role is crucial in maintaining optimal conditions for breeding and nurturing these beautiful birds.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily nutrition and hydration to canaries.
• Ensure an optimal environment through regular cleaning and upkeep of aviaries.
• Monitor bird health and seek veterinary advice when needed.
• Document data for breeding records and follow breeding protocols.
• Assist in chick rearing and monitor growth.
• Collaborate with team members for successful aviary management.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Agriculture (Animal Studies) or higher
• Experience with canary breeding is highly desirable

Experience

• Minimum 2 years in an avian care or breeding environment.
