Cattle Sorter

Job Description

Join our cattle sorting team, where you will be responsible for organizing cattle based on age, weight, and health status. This is a hands-on position that requires good physical fitness and a keen understanding of animal behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Organize cattle by their characteristics and health status.
• Monitor cattle for any signs of distress or illness.
• Work collaboratively with the team to maintain sorting records.
• Ensure humane treatment of cattle at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of the sorting area and equipment to ensure safety.
• Assist in the loading and transportation of cattle when required.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Animal Studies is a plus

Experience

• Experience with animal health and medication administration is advantageous.

Certifications

• Experience with Cattle Breeding and Genetics

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in Cattle Sales and Marketing: Experience in promoting and marketing cattle to potential buyers.
• Knowledge of Animal Health Issues: Understanding of common health issues affecting cattle and their management.
