Grade Setter

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Grade Setter to join our dynamic construction team in Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately setting and maintaining grade levels on various construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of the tools and techniques involved in grade setting. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial site assessments to establish existing grade conditions.
• Set up and calibrate grade control equipment for precision work.
• Monitor ongoing construction activities to ensure compliance with grade specifications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to facilitate smooth project flow.
• Conduct quality checks on grade settings to ensure accuracy.
• Provide regular updates to the site manager regarding progress and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certificate in Construction or Surveying is a plus

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a construction role focusing on grade setting.
