Job Description

As a Hoist and Winch Operator, you will play a vital role in the drilling operations by ensuring the safe and efficient handling of drilling equipment. Your responsibilities will include operating winches and hoists, assisting with the installation and maintenance of drilling gear, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hoist and winch operations during drilling setups.
• Collaborate with team members to execute tasks effectively.
• Review operational reports and work instructions.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
• Ensure that all equipment is securely fastened and all safety measures are adhered to.
• Maintain regular communication with the drilling supervisor.
• Assist in emergency response drills and safety inspections.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Trade Certification in a relevant field is advantageous

Experience

• Experience in offshore drilling is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Drilling Rig Software Familiarity
• Hydraulic Systems Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Previous experience with hydraulic systems: Hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
