We are seeking experienced Forensic Science Technicians to join our dynamic team in Melbourne. This role involves collecting, preserving, and analyzing evidence crucial for criminal investigations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong background in forensic science.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document evidence from crime scenes.
• Conduct laboratory analysis on physical and biological evidence.
• Prepare and maintain accurate evidence logs and chain of custody records.
• Consult with law enforcement on case specifics and evidence handling.
• Develop and update forensic protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Assist in training new staff in forensic collection techniques.
• Maintain equipment used in forensic analysis.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science or related field
• Advanced knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment used in forensic analysis is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a forensic laboratory setting

Technical Skills

• Courtroom testimony experience
• Knowledge in digital forensics

Certifications

• Forensic Science Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
