Job Description

The Special Education Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing special education programs and services within our vibrant school community. This role requires you to work closely with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure educational success for students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the special education team in developing inclusive teaching strategies.
• Conduct workshops for staff to enhance their understanding of special education.
• Develop partnerships with local organisations for additional support services.
• Provide case management for students requiring ongoing support.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals for multidisciplinary approaches.
• Encourage parental involvement in the educational decisions of their children.
• Monitor the effectiveness of intervention strategies and improve as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field

Experience

• Experience in coordinating special education programs.

• Understanding of assistive technologies

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous leadership experience: Experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.
