Developmental Pediatrician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced developmental pediatrician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of childhood developmental disorders and be able to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions. This is a challenging yet rewarding role for someone who is passionate about improving the lives of children with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultations for children with complex developmental and behavioral issues.
• Implement evidence-based treatment strategies and monitor patient progress.
• Liaise with schools and community services to support the child's development.
• Advocate for children's health services and resources.
• Conduct workshops and training for staff and parents on developmental disorders.
• Maintain a high level of professional knowledge and skills through continuous education.

Requirements

Education

• MD degree from an accredited medical school
• Specialty training in pediatrics and developmental and behavioral pediatrics

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience working with children with developmental disorders.

Technical Skills

• Strong diagnostic and treatment skills
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Soft Skills

• Leadership and mentoring skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Certifications

• Board certification in developmental and behavioral pediatrics
• Current license to practice medicine in Victoria

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in research and publication in the field of developmental pediatrics: Ability to contribute to clinical research and advancements in pediatric care.
• Fluency in additional languages: Ability to communicate with a diverse patient population.
• Experience with telemedicine and remote patient care: Knowledge of telehealth platforms for remote consultations.
