Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Model Maker to join our dynamic team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and constructing models using various materials and tools. This role demands a keen attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a dash of creativity.

Responsibilities

• Construct detailed prototypes working from technical drawings.
• Ensure the accurate application of design principles to maintain high quality.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project goals and timelines.
• Work closely with the project manager to ensure milestones are achieved.
• Train junior model makers on techniques and tools.
• Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment.
• Review project specifications and suggest necessary adjustments.
• Develop innovative techniques to improve the model-making process.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant qualifications in engineering or design are advantageous.

Experience

• Additional experience in advanced materials or electronics is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Experience with CNC machines
• Lighting and electronics for models

Soft Skills

• Effective communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with robotics in model making: Familiarity with incorporating robotic elements into prototype models.
• Strong project management skills: Ability to manage timelines and deliverables effectively.
