Environmental Sampling Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Sampling Technician to join our team in Perth. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting environmental samples, conducting tests, and preparing detailed reports. This role requires a solid understanding of scientific methods and laboratory techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental sampling and monitoring activities in the field, including soil, water, and air sampling.
• Operate and maintain field equipment, such as sampling pumps, meters, and instruments.
• Collect and record accurate data and maintain documentation of field activities.
• Assist with laboratory analyses and data interpretation.
• Prepare and submit reports to clients and regulatory agencies.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols and policies.
• Travel to sites across Western Australia and occasionally interstate.
• Document all environmental assessments in accordance with company standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in environmental sampling and laboratory testing

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of laboratory techniques
• Experience with air quality monitoring

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• First Aid certification: Certification is desirable for health and safety compliance.
• Background checks: Willingness to undergo background and police checks required for certain projects.
