Job Description

We are seeking a First-Line Supervisor of Production and Operating Workers to lead our dedicated team at the wastewater treatment plant in Sydney. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while mentoring your team. This position requires strong leadership and a keen understanding of wastewater treatment processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the daily operational activities of the wastewater treatment facility.
• Ensure safety compliance and encourage a safety-first workplace culture.
• Assess plant operations and implement effective solutions for any issues.
• Maintain effective communication with management and external partners.
• Coordinate emergency response efforts and training drills.
• Document and report incidents and compliance issues promptly.
• Monitor team performance and facilitate regular performance reviews.
• Promote sustainability initiatives and environmentally-friendly practices.
• Engage in continuous learning and development for self and team members.
• Ensure equipment is functioning optimally and report any malfunctions.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Environmental Engineering or a related field
• Certifications in Leadership or Management are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in supervisory roles within the industry
