Oil Drilling Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Oil Drilling Engineer to join our Sydney team. The successful candidate will focus on overseeing drilling operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and managing production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan drilling programs, balancing technical and economic factors.
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations during all drilling activities.
• Manage contractor performance and supervise service providers involved in drilling.
• Coordinate with health and safety teams to uphold robust workplace safety.
• Continuously assess drilling technologies and practices for improvements.
• Keep accurate records of drilling activities for compliance and reporting.
• Provide technical support across departments, such as geology and reservoir engineering.
• Facilitate cross-functional team meetings to enhance collaboration.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience

Certifications

• Offshore Certification
