Job Description

As a Viticulturist, you will be responsible for planting, cultivating, and managing grapevines for wine production. Your role includes overseeing the production of quality grapes and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all aspects of vineyard operations including planting, pruning, and monitoring.
  • Manage pest control and mitigation ensuring crop health.
  • Collaborate with research teams on innovative cultivation methods.
  • Assist in the development of new vineyard property.
  • Ensure equipment and machinery are maintained and operational.
  • Monitor seasonal changes and climate impact on grape quality.
  • Prepare and manage vineyard health assessments.
  • Organize and manage annual harvest logistics.
  • Engage with local growers and viticulture associations.
  • Support marketing strategies through educational winery tours.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Viticulture, Agriculture or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in Viticulture or related field preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of five years' experience in vineyard management.
