Job Description

The Meat Smoker will be responsible for smoking meat products to a high standard, ensuring that quality and safety standards are met. You will be required to work in a team environment and be able to handle the fast-paced nature of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Trim and season meat products effectively for optimal smoking.
  • Maintain and operate all smoking equipment to meet standards.
  • Perform regular checks on cooking times and conditions.
  • Comply with all sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Help prepare products for sale and presentation.
  • Assist with stock management and inventory checks.
  • Contribute to a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Be involved in team training initiatives for skill enhancement.
  • Assist in implementing quality control measures.
  • Work efficiently in high-pressure situations.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate III in Meat Processing (Smallgoods - Manufacture)
  • Food Safety Handler Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
