Job Description

As the Recreational Therapy Program Coordinator, you will oversee and coordinate innovative recreational therapy programs that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being of participants. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and evaluating therapeutic activities, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring the inclusivity of all participants.

Responsibilities

• Create therapeutic activities for diverse populations, including children and the elderly.
• Assess and adjust programs based on participant feedback and progress.
• Provide leadership and support to program staff and volunteers.
• Collaborate with external agencies to bring resources into programs.
• Document participant progress and submit reports to management.
• Organise workshops and community events to promote therapy programs.
• Liaise with family members to encourage their involvement in participants' therapy.
• Monitor participant safety and adherence to confidentiality protocols.
• Manage purchasing and maintenance of program supplies and equipment.
• Stay current with developments in recreational therapy to enhance program quality.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field
• Master's in Recreational Therapy is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a relevant therapeutic setting
