Job Description

As an Emergency Management Director, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating emergency response operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community during crises. You will develop comprehensive emergency response plans, facilitate training sessions for emergency personnel, and liaise with various stakeholders to ensure a coordinated response during emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of emergency plans tailored to specific risks.
  • Monitor national and international trends in emergency management to integrate best practices.
  • Conduct post-incident analysis and reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports on emergency management activities to senior management.
  • Foster relationships with local businesses to build a network of support during emergencies.
  • Advocate for emergency preparedness initiatives within the community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management or Public Safety
  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in emergency management, with a focus on coordination and response
