First-Line Supervisors of Production and Operating Workers

Job Description

We are seeking a First-Line Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our phosphorus processing facility in Sydney. The ideal candidate will manage production teams, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive process improvements within the manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of 10-15 operators and technicians.
• Implement safety measures to mitigate risks related to chemical processing.
• Track and report on production efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Foster teamwork and collaboration among staff.
• Encourage innovative ideas for process improvement.
• Implement waste reduction strategies in production.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and maintained to standards.
• Manage compliance with health and safety guidelines.
• Assist in budget management and resource allocation.
• Drive employee engagement and motivation within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
